Full day planned for first senior golf outing July 16th, 2010:
For The Windsor Star Centres for Seniors Windsor presents its 1st Annual Golf Tournament at the Fox Glen Golf Club in McGregor on Saturday, August 7.
The day is shaping up to be an extremely fine production, and you are invited to share in the fun.
Registration is at noon with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cost is $100 for the 18-hole scramble, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, dinner and a door prize.
There will be additional games during the day, such as a putting contest, closest to the keg, opposite-hand long drive, longest drive men/women and closest to the pin.
A skins game and hole-in-one prizes will stir competitive skills.
Relax over a succulent dinner.
Tony Doucette is the master of ceremonies during dinner.
Registration deadline is July 30. Call the centre at 519-254-1108 to register, or for more information.
Register as a foursome. Organizers may be able to pair you up, if you are not already part of a foursome.
All proceeds go to support the services, physical, recreational, educational, social and cultural activities at both locations of Centres for Seniors Windsor.
Peggy Ann and Paul Bradshaw, cochairs of the event, and Jeanette Ware, community support services manager, Centres for Seniors Windsor, urge you to get into the swing and support Centres for Seniors Windsor.
This is a fun way to do it.
